As of now, the total installed wind power capacity in the country stands at a remarkable 47,716.72 MW.

Top States in Wind Power Installation
Leading the way is Gujarat, with an installed capacity of 12,314.48 MW.
The state’s commitment to harnessing wind energy has established it as a frontrunner in the renewable sector.
Following closely is Tamil Nadu, contributing 11,128.84 MW to India’s total capacity.
The amalgamation of favorable wind conditions and supportive policies has enabled these states to emerge as significant players in the field.
Other Contributing States
Karnataka and Maharashtra also demonstrate substantial wind power capabilities, with installations of 6,724.36 MW and 5,216.38 MW, respectively.
Rajasthan (5,195.82 MW) and Andhra Pradesh (4,096.65 MW) further bolster the overall installed capacity.
Meanwhile, states like Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala are gradually increasing their contributions, with capacities of 2,844.29 MW, 128.10 MW, and 63.50 MW respectively.
