The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is gearing up for a significant occasion, marking the first anniversary of the Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratishtha on January 11, 2025.
This date was chosen to align with the Hindu calendar, diverging from January 22, which was the date of the consecration ceremony held in the previous year.
The decision to celebrate the anniversary on January 11 stems from a deep respect for Hindu customs. Traditionally, festivals in Hinduism are observed based on the Hindu lunar calendar.
The consecration ceremony took place on Paush Shukla Paksh Dwadashi, also referred to as Kurma Dwadashi, which corresponds to the twelfth day of the full moon cycle in the Paush month.
Starting in 2025, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will henceforth celebrate the Pran Pratishtha annually on this auspicious date.
This decision was reached after thorough discussions with saints and is intended to pay homage to the inherent traditions of Hindu festivities.
This special day will be recognized as Pratishtha Dwadashi in the ceremonial calendar.
the upcoming anniversary is not merely a celebration of a historical event, but a reaffirmation of cultural practices and adherence to the Hindu calendar, ensuring that the legacies associated with the Ram Mandir continue to resonate through generations.
Ayodhya Ram Temple: Milestones and Future Celebrations
The inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, marked a significant moment in Hindu culture and spirituality.
This grand ceremony attracted numerous devotees and dignitaries, reflecting the culmination of decades of legal and political struggles surrounding the site.
These efforts now find expression in the temple’s celebration, which resonates deeply with traditional Indian values and astrological significance.
The one-year anniversary celebrations will occur from January 11 to 13, 2025. During these days, devotees will engage in various rituals and prayers, allowing them to honor Lord Ram authentically.
This emphasis on tradition over modern calendar systems is central to the temple’s significance, inviting individuals to reconnect with their spiritual roots and participate in meaningful cultural events.
As for the temple’s physical structure, the Ram Temple was initially projected to be complete by June 2025.
However, recent reports from PTI indicate a likely postponement to September 2025 due to construction delays. Chairman of the construction committee, Nripendra Misra, stated that a shortage of about 200 workers has hindered progress.
Additionally, plans to replace certain stones on the first floor, which are described as ‘weak and thin,’ aim to ensure the temple’s durability for future generations.
The arrival of Lord Ram’s court statues and those of the six surrounding temples is eagerly anticipated from Jaipur production centers, expected to come by December, further enriching the temple’s sacred environment.
