In a significant move to enhance India’s artificial intelligence (AI) landscape, Microsoft has partnered with the government by signing a memorandum of understanding with IndiaAI, a division of the Digital India initiative.
This collaboration is designed to empower the workforce and foster innovation within the country’s AI ecosystem, addressing the urgent need for skilled professionals in this rapidly evolving field.
The agreement outlines a comprehensive plan to train 500,000 individuals, including students, government officials, and women entrepreneurs, by 2026.

Additionally, AI centers will be established in Tier II and III cities, promoting a more inclusive approach to technology adoption across the nation.

Moreover, as part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), up to 1,000 AI startups will receive Microsoft Azure credit and mentorship.
